vitalik finally saying the quiet part out loud this is pure game theory if the base layer relies on humans updating it were all rekt eventually real defi needs a protocol that runs like a perpetual motion machine not a subscription service ossification isnt just a fancy word its the only way to stop the human error factor from rugging the whole ecosystem imagine buying a hammer and the company turns it off remotely thats the current web2 mindset eth needs to break that loop and become digital physics not just software
