Do you need LinkedIn anymore? Genuine question. How many people have you been able to connect with on there that are pertinent to the network you’re trying to build? Have you all tried @icebreaker ?

I’ll be honest, yes. I did get connected to some great companies through Icebreaker, but ultimately got the job I’m in today through finding out a friend of mine was hiring for a role that I’d be a great fit for. Say what you will but network effects are strong

You need your network. You don't need LinkedIn. For a lot of people, their professional network is trapped in LinkedIn. Liberating your social graph from siloes while making them portable, usable, and under your privacy control is the work we're doing!

I really haven’t had anything productive done on LinkedIn tbh. And it’s only people who are trying to get in the company I work for that try to connect with me there

Well, I suppose it depends on clime and location. LinkedIn is still the go to in many African countries and it serves the purpose for which it was created, it could be different in other continents but still very pertinent to building the connection and network needed in the African space.

LinkedIn isn't much helpful if you are working in crypto. But if you are trying to reconnect with someone you used to know or keep track of where someone is, it's pretty useful
