Is a second-order effect of AI taking all of our work and congnative mastery, going to be a return of the Freemasons, as manual labor and physical artisanship become more desirable paths of pursuit.
It is sadly too late for us all to change our minds and move in the same direction. Some solutions will require coercion and manipulation and paternalistic behavior. The trick is to do this with a tight feedback loop, a profound amount of kindness, and the willingness to change your own mind when necessisary.
The Future is a luxury that few can afford.
