I can see some legal issues here, but I'm not sure it's too different from what the web2 folks are already fighting (e.g., "loot boxes are gambling").
That's not to downplay those issues, and maybe if you add crypto, it all gets worse due to optics alone.
But I don't think legal should be a blocker if done correctly.
