everytime you do a two step approve->transfer flow in a mini app you should ask yourself “is there a better way to do this?” — most of the time there is

i am a simple man i request the user do a transfer from an address to another directly off the erc20 contract then i check the metadata of that tx on my backend then i call an ownerOnly function to record it on my contract

hm but then you can’t tie onchain actions to the receiving of the funds

oh i’m sure there’s better ways i just think with the limitations mini apps currently have it makes more sense to do a direct transfer off the ERC20’s contract and verify offchain then make onchain record instead of my own contract doing the transfer

EIP-7709 should help with that a ton 

ERC-3009 is way underused and x402.org is currently using it for payments. All it takes is just one signature to authorize a transfer

Afaik @tipn and @noiceapp don't have (yet?) tipping enabled for solana, I guess that deters people to have USDC on the Solana Farcaster wallet

would love to see stats on how many people have USDC on Base vs Solana on FC
