i'm setting up solana dev env for the first time, currently 20 min in, i believe what i need to do is upgrade my entire OS next.
issues i've run into:
1. it uninstalled my Rust and installed a new Rust
2. it was hardcoded to use a version of git without any creds so it failed
3. now my ubuntu is too old
