can someone tell me if beating snipers on a token launch will work via alchemy websockets for pending blocks and submitting a order with tons of max gas? or is it more complicated than this?

Technically speaking it should come down to gas war bidding provided you are inside of the same block but on L2s you are at the mercy of the sequencer to order the tx's.

Nope, won't work, snipers get block 0, so if you can't get 0 you might as well not try it. (and reacting to an event is minimum 1, but more often than not 2 blocks away).

I remember from the early clanker days the snipers were in every block 0 because they were doing snipes in every single block Resulted in failed transactions when there wasn't a token created in that block But I guess if this is what you achieve with pending blocks you might have a chance

I think changing the way you do token launches will be less effort. Especially if you'd use something like a Dutch auction where prices are at its highest and then are bid downwards.
