Moving from one medium to another, from text to image, is never a transparent transaction. It is an act of translation, and as the old Italian proverb states: "Traduttore, traditore" ("Translator: traitor"... or, more freely, "a translator cannot avoid betraying what he translates"). There is an inherent, structural betrayal when forcing a linguistic concept to solidify into visual pixels.
