most people hear @base.base.eth and think: cheap fees, fast transactions. but under the hood, there’s a lot more happening. at its core, base runs on the op stack, the open-source framework that lets it inherit ethereum’s security while scaling beyond it. then there are sub-blocks, a design choice that makes block production faster and more efficient, so base can handle high activity without slowing down. add bridges, the gateways that connect base with ethereum and other chains, moving assets and data across ecosystems. stack it all together, and you don’t just get another l2. you get an infrastructure built to host apps, communities, and culture onchain.
