A lot of responses are literal translation of "based" which is not what it means in this situation.
A popular Internet slang in Chinese that has quite some relevance is 拿捏 (Nán Niē). It means confidently master/control a skill/situation. It conveys a sense of standing firm and not letting others sway you.
