Are there ANY safeguards to prevent blatant TBA leaderboard farming AT ALL? How many accounts are using blatantly fake engagement to farm rewards? Why would anyone want to use TBA if this is the kinda stuff that gets rewarded???

Hot take but, they’ll sort out the muck later. For right now, most of the social influencer and attention market reward systems are trying to gain sizable traction to compete with the majority web2 competitors so quality and fairness doesn’t matter. Just volume. Easier for the platforms to punish/blame the behavior later on than try to prevent it now and potentially fail as well.

Damn these people are making TBA their employer. I'm sure most of them have "Crypto enthusiast" or "Web3 lover" in their bio. The airdrop chasers and farmers have united to overtake the TBA economy. 😞

Yeah, it’s pretty bad, but the bar is so low that anyone can make a little scratch. For instance, if you hold 10k eggs, anyone that follows you gets automatically tipped. As soon as I hit the threshold, I started accumulating bot followers. Not a lot; single digits a week. This was enough to get me accumulating weekly rewards, despite literally doing nothing. Albeit, my account _is actually_ run by a person, so presumably I have more right to earnings that some of these others. The Base App is a pretty janky product, hastily rolled out. This is just another example.
