This has been brewing for a while. It makes me happy to finally bring that to a vote. Thank you for all the support, feedback, and suggestions that brought us here. If you have any questions, let @scottrepreneur.eth, @dan13ram.eth, or me know. https://www.nouns.camp/proposals/831

the key advantage of milestones over streams is that we don’t leak funds during voting. Each milestone requires an off-chain vote to distribute funds, Can't we just achieve this output with using multiple streams that are set to trigger at each predicted timeline. Doesn't allow for fast payment but it still gets you the complete request at the speed it was designed to take. Multi streams reduces the need to vote to continue.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! While I find your suggestion interesting, it does not solve for the fundamental propblem milestones are addressing. In a milestone-based proposal, proposal owners first do the work and then get the milestone released - shifting the obligation of proof from the DAO to the proposal owner. This addresses the need for accountability rather than adding another stream to the list of streams the DAO has to keep track of.

I can think of many single-person contacts this could be helpful for but as a voting buddy it feels like extra work each time to grant, the release How is it different to them doing say a movie prop set up? Which was staggered in multiple Dao votes. If each release requires the total Dao vote anyway

First payment is at risk but are we now expecting prospers to cover all initial cost to deliver to a point of payment.

The release can be delegated, as specified in our proposal, for example to the DUNA administrators, the top 3% of voters, a working group, all voters on that proposal, or *if need be* the entire DAO. This is the beauty of it, you get accountability and flexibility, without having to vote every time over again.
