in your view, is this new messaging paradigm a protocol or an app? it seems like there are some inherent contradictions with building an open protocol and having a large enough moat to invest the resources to build a groupme killer. at some point you need to lock in the user to achieve that scale. this is compounded by the fact that normies can’t be expected to download a new messaging app if protocol/app dev starts acting contrary to the spirit of an open but private protocol. bit different from a public network like farcaster idk, lots of questions
