The stablecoin market hits a record $310 billion amid regulatory clarity
The global stablecoin market has reached a record capitalization of $310.4 billion, while transaction volumes rose 72% to $33 trillion in 2025, led by Circle’s USDC ($18.3 trillion) and Tether’s USDT ($13.3 trillion).
The growth followed the introduction of new regulatory frameworks, including the GENIUS Act in the U.S. and MiCA in the EU, which set reserve requirements and clarified the legal status of stablecoins.
Institutional adoption is accelerating: Interactive Brokers enabled account funding with stablecoins, and LMAX Group partnered with Ripple in a $150 million deal to integrate stablecoins into trading infrastructure.
