beneath every forest, there is a complex underground network of fungi that acts like a decentralized protocol. trees use this 'wood wide web' to share resources and data in a peer-to-peer fashion, even warning each other about threats. it is basically nature's own ancient blockchain where every tree is a node supporting the entire ecosystem. the more we look at nature, the more we realize that decentralization was the original design.
