In an ETH economy would there be no need to “clean” money? I guess the authorities would just need to monitor certain addresses and force someone to sign a transaction to prove ownership in court? This thought woke me up today for some reason lol @vitalik.eth

I’ve thought through this.. any wallet address flagged for laundering would be publicly available. If you send eth to one of those addresses you could be implicated along with the receiver. That would be the deterrence.
