Boring discussion notwithstanding, your facetiousness is distasteful, and at least as annoying as mid reply guying.
It’s also patronising and uncharitable. A simpler explanation would be that bigger accounts are more visible in one’s feed and more likely to get replies. Sure, when I came across some of his comments they seemed needy and annoying (sorry dude), but I looked at his profile and to me he just seemed like a guy. One who’s maybe looking for connection. Regardless of his reasons, I’m pretty sure there’s a mute button. Adding whiny complaints to the noise just adds more noise.
BUT if this platform lives and dies by the beef then I guess we’re doing our part
