ChainCatcher reported that according to Cointelegraph, hackers stole the YouTube channel of Australian news broadcaster 7News and live-streamed a fake Elon Musk talking about cryptocurrency. In the live broadcast, "Elon Musk" promoted a common "double return" scam, promising to double any cryptocurrency sent to a specific address. The team is currently investigating and working with YouTube to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

ChainCatcher reported that according to The Block, the Central Bank of the Bahamas is formulating regulations requiring commercial banks to provide access to its central bank digital currency. John Rolle, governor of the Central Bank of the Bahamas, said that the adoption of the Sand Dollar (the CBDC launched by the Bahamas in 2020) is still limited, so the government is formulating regulations to effectively force commercial banks to issue central bank digital currencies to promote their popularity.

S.BLOX was formerly the Japanese exchange DeCurret, which was acquired by a subsidiary of Singapore market maker Amber Group in February 2022, and then acquired by Quetta Web Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Group in August 2023.
