I compared conversation mode for ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity to be my tourist guide in Lisbon over the weekend. Overall, ChatGPT was the least interesting. just mid stuff with no real insights or curious stuff. Claude conversation mode was the worst, but the recent additions that make it work with tools where it can ask your location, create a plan guide with steps and a map to follow made it the most useful over the chat interface. Perplexity was the best in conversation mode. Spoke multiple languages flawlessly, found interesting facts and was overall smooth.
