Honestly a GOATed teacher would have them do at least one presentation formatted for a digital-only audience 3rd grade maybe a little young but that’s the world now

You laugh but the teacher is grading them on how well they engage the chat during their presentation

"The accounting issues related to stealing old Bitcoin remaining outstanding" 😂 Regarding Matt's question "wouldn't [someone with a secret quantum computer] attack other systems first?" I used to think they would obviously go after some bigger fish than Bitcoin but now I think Bitcoin is the most attractive target Would you rather make millions/billions of dollars taking most likely lost or known-to-be lost coins (which you can possibly justify to yourself and/or the public as a victimless crime, if even a crime) or risk jail forever by committing fraud on the NYSE or eavesdropping on the President? I am not aware of a use for a secret quantum computer that isn't morally and legally fraught and the risk/reward of taking dead people's Bitcoin is pretty good compared to the alternatives

The Easter Bunny is probably the most preposterous lie we tell our kids Santa at least has tons of lore and a plausible-sounding mechanism behind it … … the giant benevolent gift giving, basket hiding Bunny lacks the same rigor and raises more questions than it answers Happy Easter everyone

I wonder if we are in a golden era of alpha for using AI Current gen is xtremely useful if you know what you’re doing but still error prone This means the “default” is faulty - once the default is immaculate there’s no alpha left

Of all the things I’ve done with AI the most high leverage continues to be feeding chatbots my raw unstructured notes for analysis Takes such little work to generate on my end but can get useful outputs

Irony in #1 for me is that Computer Science degree from University of Illinois has been a valuable credential but the stuff I learned there was mostly useless Overly academic and outdated coding (e.g. assembly code!), writing proofs, etc All practical skills were learned on my own or through work

My son is convinced you get older until you hit a peak and then you start getting younger like Benjamin Button He has lots of plans for when he is old and I am young

Our fund uses a qualified custodian for assets. We often get "dust attacks" where scammers send us small amount of tokens in hopes we lazily copy/paste their address from the transaction history and send them money by mistake. Basically onchain phishing For some reason, one of these scammers (accidentally?) sent us a material amount of money, not a ton but more than usual for these attacks Since we don't know who these people are, we cannot comply with the Travel Rule and so typically in these cases our custodian will reject the deposits and return the funds. BUT I don't want to do that. So, I want to attempt to declare the funds illicit and legal retain possession of them, for fun and out of pettiness. I started going down the rabbit hole on how you do this and WOW does that seem like a lot of work. But I'd rather do that than give money back to the scammers. If the custodians just let me burn the funds instead I might do that to save time ... If anything interesting happens I will keep you posted

Sounds hardcore I couldn't even think of enough of those to build a whole workout. What else is "full body compound" besides deadlift, clean, squat press , ?

Good summary on the various options - that was kinda my read as well especially for upper / lower body... for those upper body days it sounds like you have to move a lot of weight if you want to cover everything Might try a hybrid 5 day upper/lower where one of the upper body days is broken up across 2 days

Realized I’ve been doing push/pull/legs workout splits for years (as opposed to upper body / lower body, etc) It’s nice because you easily hit every muscle but have to workout a full 6 times / week to hit each muscle group twice … kind of a lot and missing here and there unbalances you What are other good ones?

I never used to get sick I lowkey didnt believe people when they said they were sick. Like I thought it was a collective lie we pretended adults could be too sick to do stuff and not be hospitalized I’ve been sick more times in my few years as a parent than the rest of my life combined. What the hell
