this is absolutely spot on atm Most of the teams are trying to target an audience of newbies that is (1) not growing fast and (2) mostly on CEXes IMO there are a few SA benefits for degens: - gas abstraction, cause you can jump on new chains without having to bridge/get natives - transaction batching, which can also reduce erc20 approvals to a minimum we're building the first smart wallet for degens (ambire.com), an extension that supports EOAs and SAs in one place, and derives SAs directly from your hardware wallet, without recovery, but with the other SA benefits There's also key rotation, but IMHO it's a bit overrated and not even degens find it intuitive/easy

Account abstraction can save us from a quantum emergency, here's how -> https://ethresear.ch/t/how-to-hard-fork-to-save-most-users-funds-in-a-quantum-emergency/18901
We’re doing both at Ambire, simultaneously Most early users are crypto natives who swear by EOAs (on ledger/trezor) and 7702 will be great for them However multi sigs for example need pure smart accounts
