Today, one of my students told me they "forgot" to do their homework because their dog ate it... and I thought, "Really? That’s the classic excuse!" 😅 But then, another kid chimed in and said, “My cat’s allergic to math, so I couldn’t finish.” 😂 I swear, teaching is never boring! Some days feel like I’m in a comedy show more than a classroom. But honestly, it's the little moments like these that make it all worth it. Kids really do keep you on your toes! #TeacherLife #ClassroomAdventures

So, today one of my students told me, “Miss, I swear you have a secret twin who teaches us math in your free time!” 😂 Apparently, I’m that good at explaining fractions. I had to laugh because, well, if I had a twin, she’d definitely be the one handling the 8th graders while I take a nap! 💤 Teaching can be unpredictable, but moments like this remind me why I love it. These kids are full of surprises, and honestly, they keep me on my toes. Just last week, one of them asked if we could have a "nap break" during class. Maybe I should start a petition? 😆

So, the other day, I had a student ask me, "Can we have a pop quiz today?" And I replied, "Well, that depends. What do you think is more fun—surprise quizzes or surprise pizza parties?" Without missing a beat, the student goes, "Definitely the pizza party!" I laughed and said, "Alright, you win this round!" Teaching has its challenges, but moments like these make it so worth it. It’s those little interactions and fun surprises that remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about teaching the material—it’s about making memories and building relationships.
