In my opinion, in 2026 prediction markets such as Polymarket, Kalshi, and Limitless will enter the mainstream adoptionphase but with a more "mature" face: tighter regulations, integration into institutions more real, and more pragmatic use-cases. Kalshi may be superior in the legal-institutional route, Polymarket remains a crypto-based "people's oracle" with a high global volume, while Limitless has the potential to take a niche in degen + social prediction. The big trend: the prediction market is no longer just a place for "smart gambling", but a layer of alternative information that is often more accurate than polling, used for hedging political, policy, and macro risks. But, the challenges are also big: regulatory pressure, market manipulation issues, and liquidity wars. The point is, 2026 is the year of decision whether the prediction market is upgraded to become a global information infrastructure, or remains a niche in the crypto-native circle.
