The words war, occupation, and genocide are often thrown around as abstract concepts, but they always mean people - human suffering, not just statistics or numbers, but humans with names, stories, and loved ones. This is why we do what we do to help 🫂⛑️🇺🇦 As always, a huge thank you to @vitalik.eth and @endaoment donors for supporting @crystalhearts and helping us make things happen. Because of your donations, we can continue supporting and supplying our medics (who do everything in their power to keep people alive), our defenders (who keep fighting back and resisting despite being extremely outnumbered and outpowered), assist local NGOs with evacuating civilians and helping them during the most vulnerable time, when they make the hard decision to leave their homes and everything behind just to have a chance to survive, and support independent journalists on the ground who aren’t afraid to report from places where no major media is willing to send people anymore 🙏

So, I did a thing 💁🏻‍♀️ Slowly moving back to the dark side haha and still adjusting after being blonde for like a decade. therefore I have a billion selfies in my camera roll taken in attempts to get used to it, and now you all have to see them lol

There’s a lot I want to share about our aid deliveries, but while I’m still gathering my thoughts, I just want to say thank you to @vitalik.eth, the /degen community, and @endaoment donors ⛑️ Because of your support for @crystalhearts, we are able to work on the ground in both Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, delivering much-needed supplies 🇺🇦 The conditions in the pre-frontline areas were as bad as I expected, maybe even worse. The reality of unjammable fiber-optic FPV drones sets in once you’re there, and it becomes painfully clear why so many aid workers and medics are wounded or killed every week, and why getting into certain towns these days is so hard without being hit. At this point, the only way we can get supplies in is with the army’s help. This war has changed so much, even in just the past few months… and now I have even more clarity on what’s actually necessary and what can really help both medics and defenders 🫂

I’m returning to Ukraine to continue working on the ground in September ⛑️🫂 as many know, I was supposed to be back months ago, but fundraising for supplies became extremely difficult. do I think it’s gonna be better now? not sure. but as I said when I ran fundraisers for my birthday and pushed to qualify for an Endaoment grant, I’m in the mindset of pulling off some miracles. and I know there’s gotta be people out there who would want to support @crystalhearts through donations or by buying supplies that we’ll be delivering to the frontlines. I just need to find them! I also know there’s gotta be someone here on Farcaster who knows someone out there who might want to help a small org do important work. and if we take the six degrees of separation idea into consideration, there’s a path from this cast to literally anyone haha so my ask today is for a few minutes of your time to think of anyone you might know who would want to support us & if someone comes to mind, please connect us!
