Security should be easier as well. You can tell directly from the function signature what it is allowed to do (no need to do any simulated transactions). You can tell whether it can read an asset, write an asset, or transfer an asset.

And then there's the scalability. Remains to be seen if the promises there are valid, but the hypothesis (e.g. intra-validator sharding) seem legitimate to me.
