My reaction to the initial conflict in Gaza was mixed with indifference and naïveté. After all, my family is not amongst the people being bombed and starved in the rubbles, why do I care? And then around me, I see people with such religious conviction expressing their indifference and ignorance by a stern and dogmatic devotion. After all, their religious belief stems from this part of the world. There is a simple fact. No matter who was wrong or right, innocent human life still matters. And I hope people realize that.
