It’s an honour to be shortlisted for The Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year with Lifeblood.
Lifeblood is an aerial capture of the transformations water brings to the outback after rare floods sweep down from Central Queensland, filling channels carved over millennia. Reached after days of 4WDing across outback floodplains, this fleeting kaleidoscope of colour exists for only weeks. From the air, its veins of water reveal a story older than memory.
Lifeblood is to be on display at the South Australian Museum with winners announced Thursday 27 August 2026.
