Using popular cross-chain bridges like LayerZero, Wormhole, and Stargate for airdrop participation offers both benefits and risks. On the upside, these bridges are frequently used by protocols to assess multi-chain engagement, increasing eligibility chances. They enable users to interact across ecosystems, fulfilling airdrop tasks more efficiently. However, they also attract sybil activity, leading some projects to discount interactions made solely via bridges. Security risks exist too—bridge hacks can expose user funds. Additionally, high gas fees during congestion can reduce cost-effectiveness. To maximize benefit, users should combine bridging with on-chain activity rather than relying on transfers alone.
