“Confirmation” and “finality” often get used interchangeably but in Espresso, they mean very different things. 🔵 Confirmation = fast, BFT-secured agreement that a transaction has been sequenced and accepted by the network. You can act on it instantly bridges, apps, or users can move forward safely. 🔴 Finality = when the transaction is fully settled and irreversible on the base layer like Ethereum. It’s slower, but it’s the ultimate checkpoint of truth. @espressosys gives rollups rapid confirmations through HotShot consensus while leaving finality to their underlying L1s or settlement layers. You get the best of both worlds speed and security. So in short: Confirmation = network agreement (fast) Finality = immutable settlement (slow) Espresso bridges the gap between the two. ☕️
