My birthday is friday the 14th, last year I went to Connecticut for a Cody jinks concert, while at dinner my motel room was broken into, our bags stolen, clothes, some medicine, small amount of cash etc. missed the show to deal with police. Not a thing came of it. Bad birthday for sure. This year, went jobless for awhile, my girlfriend had cdiff she caught at work, and is still struggling to recover, staying hydrated issues mostly. Too broke to do anything. Tonight we were going to go out and watch the meteor showers, small chance of aurora, etc. I'm a space nerd. However we are blanketed in wildfire smoke. Which and heavy (purple on smoke maps) so that's a no-go. No plans of Friday either. Too broke to go anywhere. 2026 has been nothing but disappointment for me. I'm going to cash out what I can and try to fund a trip to cherry springs. Lay under the milkyway and catch the remnants of the meteor showers. Or the finger lakes so I can visit the waterfalls during the day. Does anyone wish to lend a hand?
