You should be able to use USDC as a payment option either on web by selecting a different currency by clicking on the "ETH" button, or in the app by tapping and holding then selecting the currency again by tapping on the "ETH" option.
For the $50 you sent to a token contract, can you send me the info in dms, and I can take a closer look!
