SECOND MONTH REVIEW IN MY CURRENT COMPANY AS A TECHNICAL WRITER If I were to sum up my second month, I’d call it: “When the real work started.” Here’s what went down: 1️⃣ API Testing – I spent a lot of time testing APIs, making sure the endpoints behaved as expected. I flagged unclear error messages, incorrect status codes, and learned a lot in the process. 2️⃣ Understanding the Entire Application – I had multiple meetings with SMEs to fully understand our applications. This helped me know what to test next and what to document accurately. 3️⃣ Process Documentation Template – I realised I’d be creating many process docs, so I built a starter kit template to speed up documentation setup for any product. This will save me time and keep things consistent. 4️⃣ Editing – Reviewed and edited documents from my seniors to make sure they were clear, concise, and conveyed the intended message.
