A breathtaking moment for whale watchers off the coast of Hokkaido, Japan, as two rare white orcas were seen swimming alongside their pod.
The encounter was captured by wildlife photographer Noriyuki Hayakawa, who documented the orcas moving in perfect sync with the rest of the group. Their unusual white coloration is believed to be caused by leucism or albinism, rare genetic conditions that affect pigmentation.
