The mental model I use is email.
* Permissionless protocol.
* 1/2 the email in the world is spam.
* was a horrible ux problem
In the early 2000s
* But it rarely bothers you today
Similarly tokens or ERC20s.
* can be created permissionlessly
* 1/2 of them are scams / spam
* basically already readily accessible through self custody wallets today
* spam & scams are still a huge problem - but being solved by @blockaid
