A lot of people donโ€™t understand tariffs, and by that, they donโ€™t understand Trumpโ€™s current policy. The old economic idea was simple: countries specialize in what they do best, trade with others, and global output grows. That worked under specific conditions โ€” free trade, no monopolies, no military leverage. But for the past 20 years, China has done the opposite. By subsidizing exports, blocking imports, and depreciating the yuan, theyโ€™ve maintained dominance in high-end industries. Meanwhile, the US has lost its production base. America still has high-end technological knowledge, for example with AI. But without the means to sustain itself, that knowledge wonโ€™t matter. If the global trade system breaks down, the US could be left vulnerable. Trump saw this. His moves werenโ€™t just about jobs โ€” they were a hedge against the real risk of a world where economic shutdowns become a weapon.

Where we are and where we're going 1. Recently, we've seen a decent increase in daily active users (DAU). Between 200K and 300K users open Warpcast every month. This needs to be 10-100x greater for Farcaster to be sustainable. 2. We've also seen a lot of previously "churned" users reactivate on Farcaster. 3. We've significantly upgraded our developer UX with mini apps (formerly frames) and wallet. 70K+ funded wallets. 4. We've scaled our USDC rewards programs for content, mini apps and invites. $250K+ in USDC rewards and growing. 5. We've introduced a new series of verifications to help developers better understand users on the protocol. Over 150K+ users have at least one verification. 6. We've launched airdrop offers, allowing developers to target Farcaster users who use their apps via mini apps. 7. Snapchain is launching soon. It's a novel, blockchain-like distributed system that will allow us to scale the protocol for the next 10x. 8. We've grown the team by 50% since the start of the year. 1/3
