I started my career in a private equity that bought 50% stake in Kibbutzim factories. Spent a lot of time in many. They had amazing innovation (they led the 70s-00s Israel tech sector, today considered low tech).
But all failed management wise and eventually most of them crumbled under the weight of collectivism
