Most crypto trading bots fail due to overfitting and look-ahead bias. Overfitting means a strategy works perfectly on past data but fails in live trading because it learned noise, not actual patterns. Look-ahead bias occurs when a strategy uses future information it wouldn't have had access to at the time of the trade. Always validate strategies with out-of-sample data and avoid using future data in backtests.
