What do you think the odds will be for people who are not GOP. I think this is contingent on how they are able to fight the mess that is Trumpland. 2026 will definitely be important for both Blue states and Red. It will be interesting to see what will occur when it comes to the backlash from ICE raids, and policies presented by the administration. https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2025/06/12/congress/blue-state-republicans-target-governors-immigration-00402883

The odds in the mid term? I feel like there should be enough backlash that the House will flip, but since only 1/3 of the senate will be up for a vote it might be hard for the Dems to take that too. The administration is certainly not looking goods in the polls. Even in the area they've been the strongest in previous months (immigration/deportation) they are under water. I guess it really depends on what percent his "base" approval rating ends up being. He's at 38% not even 5 months in. Biden was above 50% for the first 6 months. Trump is certainly breaking records for low approvals but there could be a big difference between going into the midterm with 35% as opposed to 30%. How his tariff policy manifests in terms of jobs and inflation over the next 12 months is going to be pretty important.
