2016—Drake Night in Brooklyn, a full party where the DJ only played Drake. I was deep in my Drake era at the time, so this was basically church for me. 😂 The obsession ran deep. I flew to Canada twice for his concerts. Once while I was still working in sports, I reached out to the Raptors and got a private tour of Drake’s suite at the arena. In terms of the design, let’s just say I saw potential. 😂 My first concert of his was when I won tickets to see him at Radio City and brought my sister for her birthday. Earlier that day, I hit a parked bus while driving my dad’s car to pick up my niece from school. I went to the concert anyway, smiling through it—knowing I’d have to face my parents’ reaction afterward. It was a time.
