You know the part in Marty Supreme when the director doesn’t allow him to play championships though he makes it all the way to Japan in spite of everything and Marty stares at him incredulously and says you don’t know just how hard I worked to get here It’s striking bc 1) Timothee’s acting has improved thank god but also 2) for a split second you glimpse Timothee the actor talking about himself
