Finished this 700+ page behemoth today.
As you can tell from the tattered cover (🎩 tip to Colorado book lovers) it took awhile.
Love Sapolsky, one of my favorite science writers.
Not my favorite brain book, but worth the effort.
Tldr; we are tribal and this seems to skew at least half our behavior and is easily manipulated. Ever notice all the Us/Them messaging happening? It works! Gets those emotional juices glowing so we think less. Question the framing of us/them!
Status and inclusion are a large part of the tribal framing.
