Compassion.
It’s tough. At the root, we all think we live in the same world, the objective world.
But we don’t.
We each live in our own subjective reality, a universe we have each constructed, neuron by neuron and synapse by synapse. Experience and biological destiny combined every moment.
I imagine monks choose solitude so that they can break down their subjective walls without being pulled behind another’s.
Practice compassion for yourself and others. We don’t know the worlds they inhabit.
