it sucks that the ways to get attention and the ways to build something with staying power are almost completely at odds

the reason crypto has taken so long to become legitimate is largely because social media algorithms dictate what even gets attention; their power laws reward short term greed, drama, engagement farming, and extravagant promises (which all have the unfortunate side effect of attracting bottom of the barrel users, and a lot of bots)

meanwhile, legitimate builders often toil away in relative obscurity 

how do we fix this?

It seems we need more bespoke social platforms based on the goals.

YouTube i find to be phenomenal for highlighting building and deep work with an audience that seeks it. 

Build on YouTube, broadcast through relevant influencers elsewhere.

Ig, fb and twitter all just surface the more stupid and banal, but there are good communities. Gotta know who your audience is and where they are.
