Uniswap Labs has unveiled the developer preview of Hooks in Uniswap v4, enabling custom logic to be injected into liquidity pools. This “programmable liquidity” allows developers to build modules for dynamic fees, on-chain limit orders, oracles, and more—all within the DEX framework. It represents a major shift toward modular DeFi infrastructure, fostering innovation while maintaining composability. Though still in testing, the Hooks architecture is expected to supercharge advanced DeFi use cases and attract developers back to Uniswap amid rising competition from newer protocols like Ambient and CrocSwap.
