I think the greatest thing that Coinbase could do is separate out Coinbase Wallet from Base.
Everyone in the replies is asking for distribution because they think if they can just get their apps in front of millions of people then they will find PMF and grow.
But the apps being built on here are not apps that will appeal to the rest of the world because they are built for onchain natives. And there is a HUGE gap between the two. If you think the rest of the world will meet us where we are, then youre not going to push consumer crypto forward.
Clanker/Bankr type consumer crypto apps get spotlighted here because they are genuinely interesting for crypto natives but they have no chance of appealing to the rest of the world.
Base builders are building for base users — and that’s ok. They don’t actually want distribution - they just are tired of competing for a small attention share within Base. So take that with a grain of salt.
Base is for base builders. Coinbase wallet is for the world.
