Hear me out. I don’t buy shoes to collect and I hate clutter, which means I usually have 2-3 shoes in my rotation. I’ll wear them until the soles come off. The last pair of sneakers I bought was about three years ago. I recently wore out 2 of my go to New Balance, so I started shopping for a new daily. And that’s when I realized the world has turned upside down. Because when did ASICS become THE cool shoe? Is comfort cool now? ASICS I’d usually wear are almost $200!!! That’s insane. Oh, and apparently Y2K aesthetic is a thing now too. I think I’m going to wait until the new year to see if the prices come down. Assuming some of the madness might have something to do with holiday shoppers.
