these are all headlines from the last two months. millennials rebelled against religion and now gen z is rebelling against the nihilism that the millennial rebellion left behind.

controversial take: when you have nothing left, you seek god. there's an argument that upward mobility has become harder with each passing generation. with boomers > gen x > millenials > gen z, there's a lot of capital/value stuck at the top and there is less to go around. those at the bottom become hopeless and hopelessness demands faith, which for some, begets religion.

And religion has a really great hold on the structural foundation of culture, especially in ameriKKKa, but it’s obvious that in general people are feeling low and confused and in need of community. Just worried about where those are concentrated
