An interesting metric that I don't think gets talked about enough when comparing tradmedia vs onchain media is downloads (listens) vs mints. /cryptosapiens podcast has well over 100K downloads across Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube. On @pods we have 25K mints. Unique collectors is just slightly lower. The wild thing is there is no easy way to find out who my listeners are on tradmedia. No easy way to connect with them. No easy way to build community. On /pods, however, I can see who collects my content. And more importantly, what else they collect (aka their interests). I can curate conversations based on these insights, reward them directly with airdrops, message them via XMTP, and bring them together with onchain subscriptions like @hypersub. Onchain media won't win simply because you can monetize content better. It will win because of the power it has to deliver deeper insights to iterate content faster and grow your community more easily.
