The season has changed its name and the scenery is still the same.
The "Okame" cherry tree is a variety of cherry blossom developed by British horticulturist Collingwood Ingram (1880-1981) in 1947. It was bred through artificial hybridization of the Japanese winter cherry (Cerasus campanulata) and the bean cherry (Cerasus incisa var. incisa). This cherry blossom is known for its pink flowers, early spring flowering period and elegant tree shape.
