many people are saying that as AI commoditizes knowledge work, status will flow from being smart to being hot. they are right. but as peptides commoditize being hot, they will disrupt an already fragile status equilibrium. when the "GLP look" is no longer a costly signal, status will flow back to the "round and jolly" phenotype, which will once again be rare and desirable. all I have to do is wait. if you aren't already four steps ahead right now, you're five steps behind.
